HISTORY

There are almost a dozen lawyers working at the lawyer’s office Lens, Mertens & De Smet focusing themselves on developing specialties. Hence it is possible to assist both individuals and companies.

ORIGIN

The collaboration between Kris Lens and Yves Mertens started in 1999.
In 2001 Sven Mertens joined the association.

The office’s growth became a reality thanks to the efficient staff members and this played an important roll too in Kris Lens’s decision to put an end to his successful political career in order to be able to put his experiences for 100% to the benefit of the office.

Half 2004 we moved to the actual location just between Mechelen/Malines (Belgium) and Sint-Katelijne-Waver (Belgium). This made the office easy to reach offering lots of parking places.

As from January 1st, 2008 Tom De Smet joined the association as well.

MISSION

As a medum-sized office we guarantee a personal approach and emphasize the direct contact between the client and the responsible associate.

Our aspiration is a no-nonsense approach and we always consider the advantages and disadvantages of every possible step with the scope of making the client’s situation better through the lawyer’s intervention.
